If I’m reading a book and a thought crosses my mind to start reading another one, should I follow that appetite?
We’re here for a limited time, we have no time to waste, why stick with something if there is something else that could be better?
But If we do, aren’t we jumping from one thing to the next, excited by the superficial stimuli of novelty and depriving ourselves from the reward of depth?
How does one distinguish signal from noise in those moments when something new pulls your attention?
I think this is a fundamental question in these days, where new is abundant and always reachable.
