One of the characteristics of developing with AI is I’m not solving any problem, ever. This is an incredible achievement for the models but a terrible disaster for my learning.
One learns most when confronting problems and solving them. A tool that isolates you from problems is a tool that doesn’t help you learn and grow in your craft.
This is something to think about, because it might not be as easy. Perhaps the problems I’m addressing now are of a higher order (usability, features, …), instead of lower ones related to the craft of programming.
This new world is confusing. Are we making progress or are we digging a hole?
