The 400 Blows

What an unsettling feeling, to watch the unfolding of an inevitable derailment.

I guess the freedom and equality the French fought for is at display here. A single mother married to an unconcerned husband. Both too preoccupied with their own agendas. Both working and trying to thrive on their own accords, not as a family. Children being raised on the streets of Paris, while parents are busy with their own affairs.

Nice kid, not evil in any way, just trying to figure things out, on his own, with his friend. No guidance of any kind, no reference to follow.

In his arrest, the unbreakable will to see the ocean. He will do well, if only someone points him to the next sea. Hope in Balzac, he has discernment. He hast taste. He will do well.
